INTRODUCTION Mocha Passport is the account, token, contact, privacy, and activity-alert service used by Mocha Messenger and related Mocha-operated websites. This statement explains the current data practices reflected in the Mocha Passport service and its website as they exist in this project.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT The current implementation stores account information such as your username, display name, internal user id, password hash and salt, administrator flag, refresh tokens, session tokens, blocked users, contact requests, contacts, activity alerts, and moderation records when those features are used. The Passport website and Member Services pages may also process sign-in credentials, profile updates, and password-change requests submitted by you.
HOW WE USE INFORMATION Mocha Passport uses information to authenticate users, issue sessions, power Messenger sign-in, manage contact and privacy state, deliver activity alerts, support moderation controls, serve update metadata, and support web-based account management. The service-status board and any public update entries are also managed through Mocha-operated administrative tools.
HOW INFORMATION IS SHARED Information is shared only with Mocha services and operators that need it to run the network, including the Notification Server, Switchboard, Passport-backed administrative tools, hosting infrastructure, and public service-status pages. Mocha does not state here that it sells personal information.
RETENTION Account records, contacts, block lists, and moderation details remain until changed, deleted, or expired. Refresh tokens remain until revoked or expired. Temporary activity alerts remain until delivered and removed. Public status posts remain until updated or deleted by Mocha administrators.
YOUR CHOICES You can currently manage many Passport-backed settings through the Mocha Messenger client, and the Passport website now begins exposing simple online account-management tools through Member Services. Additional web-based controls may be added as the service grows.
SECURITY Mocha Passport hashes passwords, signs sessions, rotates refresh tokens, and is intended to run behind TLS in deployed environments. Administrative actions and public service-status changes are protected through authenticated service and administrator flows.
CONTACT INFORMATION For support, moderation questions, privacy requests, or bug reports during the current pre-release period, contact Mocha through the official Discord server at discord.gg/D5kTDnGkXs.
