What is Mocha Mail?

Mocha Mail is a webmail service for Mocha Passport accounts. It gives each activated Passport user a @mochachat.net mailbox that can be reached through the webmail portal.

What is my Mocha Mail address?

Your address is your Passport sign-in name followed by @mochachat.net. If your sign-in name is bashfulwizard, your mail address is bashfulwizard@mochachat.net.

How much storage do I get?

Mailbox quotas are managed by Passport. Standard accounts receive a normal mailbox quota, while administrator and service accounts may have different limits.

Where do I go for help?

Start with Problems Signing In for account access, Contact Us for support routes, or the Mocha forums for public announcements.

How does Mocha Mail help avoid junk mail?

Mocha Mail is being designed with abuse controls, mailbox holds, and administrator review paths. Suspicious messages may be moved to junk or blocked by server-side policy.

How does Mocha Mail protect attachments?

Attachments and remote content should be treated carefully. The webmail service blocks risky content where possible and will continue adding safety checks as the mailbox stack matures.

Is my sign-in secure?

Use https://webmail.mochachat.net and make sure the browser shows a secure connection before entering your password.

How does Mocha Mail work with Mocha Messenger?

Mocha Messenger and Mocha Mail share Mocha Passport identity. Future Messenger builds may expose mail notifications and account links when mailbox support is enabled for an account.

Can I use a personal email address to sign in?

Legacy accounts may still use older email-style sign-ins during the migration period. New Passport mail accounts use a Mocha sign-in name and @mochachat.net address.

What happens to legacy accounts?

Legacy account migration is planned through the Mocha Messenger migration assistant. Users will be able to choose or confirm a new Passport sign-in name and recovery email.
