Official and third-party review
Mocha will support both official add-ins and reviewed third-party add-ins. Public catalog listing requires review before users can install from Messenger.
Submission package

Package or prototype filesAllows review of actual contents instead of just the description.
mocha-addin.jsonDefines identity, permissions, targets, and entry points.
Publisher name and contact URLLets users and reviewers identify who maintains the add-in.
Privacy notesExplains whether the add-in opens external services or collects data.
Support notesGives users somewhere to report issues.
Activity packet notesRequired for Game Activities so reviewers can verify channel use and rate limits.
Review flow
1. Build the package and check the manifest.
2. Post a submission request in the Mocha forums or use the future portal form.
3. Mocha reviews package contents, declared permissions, links, user-facing text, and compatibility.
4. Accepted add-ins receive a catalog listing and CDN-hosted package.
5. Rejected add-ins receive notes and can be resubmitted after changes.
Current status: The automated submission form is not live yet. Use the Mocha forums for early discussion and private beta review.
